I seem to be having the same issue with the keyboard or trackpad with the battery pack in, just not turning on.

Did you ever resolve this?

I got the Magic Bar for my iMac keyboard, but even with the Mobee battery fully charged, when I install it in my keyboard (which uses 2 x AA size batteries), it won't power on. When I put my rechargeable batteries back in, it turns on without difficulty.

Do you find the size of the battery pack extending to the left of the trackpad or the keyboard to be troublesome in practice? I'm currently happy with a pair of chargers and recyclable batteries, but this seems a worthy contender for powering input devices from something other than disposable batteries.

Interesting solution, but for something like a keyboard that stays in a fixed position on the desk, what's the point in messing around with inductive chargers and such when you could just get a USB version and not worry about it at all? The keyboard I'm typing on I bought 5 years ago and I haven't once had to worry about how I was going to power it. I wish Apple would sell the Magic Trackpad with a USB connection so I could get rid of that annoyance as well; for devices like that, I can see where the Mobee would be useful.
